JD for Database Specialist (MS SQL)  Techno managerial skills, Project management, Technical Database and associated technology knowledge, Vendor and Stakeholder Mgmt. Excellent communication skills.  Overall 2-4 years of hands-on experience in MSSQL.  Hands on experience in installation and configuration of MSSQL RDBMS and NoSQL environment  Hands-on experience in configuring & maintaining AAG, Failover Cluster Instance, Log-shipping etc.  Hands-on experience in troubleshooting complex database performance, availability and fine-tuning issues of large databases.  Hands on experience in building information framework, data pipeline, business intelligence, data analytics, ETL strategy.  Should be able to design solutions for workloads on virtual & physical server to meet business continuity & DR plans and RTO/RPO targets.  Performs all DBA tasks to support 24x7 production environments including Index rebuild & update statistics  Should be able to deploy new jobs, SSIS packages, write/configure customized alerts  Ensure high levels of DB performance, availability, sustainability, security and compliance  Ensures all security requirements are met, supports audit and compliance activities  Drives incident response, root cause analysis, and advanced performance troubleshooting to proactively resolve database problems and isolate issues.  Works closely with internal and external stakeholders for new projects, service improvements and troubleshooting  Should be expert in developing scripts and using automation technologies to reduce incidents and service requests  Hands on experience in managing Infrastructure using automation  Cloud Migration of Databases as per Cloud Strategy  Manage Service Levels for key customers and Patch Management for Databases and replication technologies.  DB upgrades for Ensuring Performing Systems. Lead Performance Initiatives.  Capacity Planning for the heterogeneous databases and replication technology  Manage Incident change, configuration and Problem Management within SLA with Customers and obtaining all RCA's & RCCA's in defined timelines. Vendor Management  Ensuring Backups properly taken and checking the validity of the backups through periodic restoration.  Ensure reliable disaster recovery plan for databases to meet business RPO and RTO  Ensure software license compliance for databases  Ensure successful internal and external audits for DB domain  Ensure security and compliance for Databases  Project management under new initiatives.  Innovation and Cost saving initiatives for databases. Internal Operations  Easily recognizes areas for internal improvement and develops plans for implementation.  Lends expertise to internal teams and task forces.  Reviews the status reports of team members across projects and addresses issues as appropriate.  Complies with and enforces standard company policies and procedures.
