KONEC USA, a Tier 1 Tesla Partner, is seeking an experienced and dependable Die Casting Lead to oversee daily die casting production, support machine operation, train team members, and ensure quality, safety, and efficiency on the production floor.
This position is ideal for a hands-on manufacturing leader with die casting experience who can help manage production flow, troubleshoot process issues, reduce downtime, and guide operators/helpers in a fast-paced automotive manufacturing environment.
Pay
Based on experience $14-$16 to start. Pays weekly
Schedule
• Full-time
• Day shift / Night shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime as needed
ResponsibilitiesDie Casting Production
• Lead daily die casting operations to meet production schedules and output goals
• Set up and monitor die casting machines and related production equipment
• Ensure proper machine parameters, cycle times, and production efficiency
• Support start-up, changeovers, and shutdown procedures
• Monitor molten material flow, molds, tooling, and part quality throughout production
Troubleshooting & Process Support
• Identify and resolve die casting process issues, machine problems, and production defects
• Troubleshoot flash, short shots, porosity, dimensional issues, and other casting defects
• Work with maintenance and production teams to reduce downtime and improve machine performance
• Support process improvements to increase productivity, consistency, and quality
Quality Control
• Inspect parts to ensure compliance with dimensional and visual quality standards
• Ensure production follows approved specifications, work instructions, and quality requirements
• Maintain production records, inspection logs, scrap reports, and shift documentation
• Help reduce scrap and rework through proper monitoring and corrective action
Leadership & Supervision
• Supervise and support die casting operators and helpers
• Train team members on machine operation, material handling, inspection procedures, and safety practices
• Enforce company safety rules, quality standards, and production procedures
• Coordinate workflow and support daily production priorities
• Lead by example in attendance, work ethic, reliability, and professionalism
Qualifications
• Prefer experience in die casting production
• Strong understanding of die casting processes, machine operation, tooling, and production flow
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot common casting defects and process issues
• Experience in automotive, metal casting, aluminum casting, or manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to read work instructions, production documents, and quality standards
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Ability to work under production deadlines in a fast-paced environment
