Job Title: Security and Compliance Specialist
We are seeking a highly skilled Security and Compliance specialist to address the challenges of migrating systems and workloads to the public cloud. The ideal candidate will have expertise in cloud technologies, collaboration with AWS teams, and experience in IT/cyber security.
Responsibilities:
Expertise: Knowledge of cloud technologies and ability to collaborate with AWS teams.
Solutions: Provide advice and support delivery of technical engagements with partners and customers.
Delivery: Engagements include short on-site projects proving the use of AWS services for new distributed computing solutions.
Business development: Contribute and lead engagements to assist growing Professional Services Security business.
Insights: Work with AWS engineering, support and business teams to convey partner and customer feedback.
Management: Contribute to management of the practice, including knowledge transfer and mentoring.
Quality: Providing assurance services to ensure understanding and management of security and delivery outcomes.
Requirements:
Experience in IT/cyber security, security or compliance and security risk management.
Sound knowledge of cloud computing concepts, technologies and/or workload transition.
Notable consulting experience and collaboration skills.
Experience advising customers on architectures and practices meeting industry standards/frameworks.
Familiarity with availability concepts and archive, backup/recovery and business continuity processes.
Demonstrated ability to think strategically about business, product, and technical challenges.
Consulting and/or implementation experience with enterprise security solutions.
Technical expertise in security architecture, automation, integration, and deployment (DevOps).
Highly technical and analytical, including potentially possessing IT implementation experience.
Currently hold, or have the ability to obtain a government security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of primary AWS services (EC2, ELB, RDS, Route53 & S3).
Experience implementing AWS services in a variety of distributed computing environments.
Experience in the security space, including consulting.
Experience with public sector security frameworks.
