Overview
We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. Duties
Safely operate a delivery van or vehicle to transport goods to designated locations.
Load and unload items, ensuring that all deliveries are handled with care and in accordance with safety protocols.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any potential issues.
Conduct routine vehicle inspections to ensure the delivery van is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including times, locations, and any discrepancies.
Adhere to all traffic laws and regulations while driving.
Requirements
Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record; experience in commercial driving is preferred.
Ability to perform heavy lifting as required during loading and unloading of goods.
Previous experience as a delivery driver or in a similar role is advantageous.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with customers and team members.
Familiarity with local routes and traffic patterns is beneficial.
A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
