We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Delivery Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods from our warehouse to various locations, ensuring timely and safe delivery. This role requires effective communication skills and the ability to handle lifting as part of the daily duties. A strong commitment to customer service and adherence to safety regulations is essential.
Duties
Operate a van for the delivery of goods to designated locations - van provided.
Load and unload items, ensuring proper handling and securing of cargo.
Perform routine vehicle inspections and maintenance checks to ensure safety and reliability.
Communicate effectively with warehouse staff and customers regarding delivery schedules and any issues that may arise.
Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while driving.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including receipts and delivery confirmations.
Assist in the warehouse as needed, including inventory management and organisation of stock.
Experience
Previous experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
Familiarity with commercial driving regulations is advantageous.
Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently.
Strong communication skills for effective interaction with customers and team members.
Experience working in a warehouse environment is beneficial but not essential.
