Full job description
We are Cargo Van Driver transports time-sensitive freight across the lower 48 states, often for a minimum of 2-3 weeks at a time. These drivers must be reliable, maintain their vehicle, and adhere to strict delivery schedules, ensuring the safe and timely arrival of cargo.

Responsibilities

Safely operate a cargo van, often a high-roof Sprinter or similar, on extended OTR routes across the lower 48 states
Transport goods that require urgent delivery, which could include perishable items, sensitive materials, or time-critical cargo.
Plan and execute routes, potentially adapting to changing delivery needs and locations.
Safely load and unload cargo, potentially using equipment like dollies
Perform regular inspections and maintenance to ensure the van is roadworthy.
Must Maintain clear communication with dispatch regarding run status and availability.
Maintain accurate logs of working hours, miles driven, and vehicle service records.
While some routes may be more consistent, the nature of expedited freight means schedules can vary.
Skills and Qualifications:

Valid Driver's License:A clean driving record and experience with cargo vans or Sprinter vans are essential.
Physical Stamina:The job requires physical activity and the ability to handle long hours of driving.
Problem-Solving Skills:Be able to adapt to unexpected situations and find solutions while on the road.
Strong Communication Skills:Excellent communication is necessary for coordinating with dispatch and customers.
Commitment to Safety: A strong commitment to safe driving practices and cargo handling is crucial.
