Child Care Aide (Diploma Qualified)

Current Opportunities Available
We currently have the following positions across the Penrith LGA:
1 x Permanent full-time position (rotating shifts)
1 x Temporary part-time rotational position (Penrith LGA) (Monday & Wednesday) until 23 December 2026
1 x Temporary full-time position until July 2026
In addition, roles are available across Long Day Care, Preschool, Vacation Care, and Before & After School Care services.

Commencing hourly rate: $35.24 - $40.80 + 12% superannuation + Worker Retention % (hourly rate will be commensurate to completed qualifications)
Here’s what you’ll be up to…
Supporting our dedicated educational leaders in coordinating activities and programs to create a stimulating learning environment for our developing children
Assist in implementing programming tailored to children aged 0 to 12 years
Develop and maintain strong relationships with children, families and the broader community
Maintain records and documents related to children’s attendance, behaviour, and developmental milestones
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking passionate educators who are committed to creating safe, engaging environments where children can thrive.
Essential requirements
Experience and passion for working with children, creating a nurturing and stimulating environment where children can thrive
Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care or equivalent
Working with children check (WWC)
Current First Aid Certificate with Asthma and Anaphylaxis and CPR (HLTAID004 / HLTA012)
Ability to follow safeguarding priorities
Team player, contributing and upholding organisational values
Ability to work under pressure, prioritise tasks to get things done efficiently
Commitment to Child Safe Standards and the National Quality Framework.

This position has been identified as a Child-Related position under Child Protection laws in NSW. To be eligible to apply, you are required to provide Council with a valid Working with Children Check Number.

You will be required to undertake employment checks, which may include a Criminal History Check, Qualification Check, Working with Children Check, Medical Declaration and/or a Functional Test, as relevant to the position for which you have applied.
