Job Description
Reporting into the Head of Technology (Trading & Operations), the Delivery Leader will use their extensive knowledge of business strategy, technology roadmaps, and project delivery practices to successfully shape and deliver technology projects across the Trading & Operations business units. Responsibilities include:
Lead multiple technology projects from initiation to completion. Ensure appropriate governance across Waterfall, Agile or Hybrid projects starting with clarity of business objectives and prioritisation of resources to deliver maximum business value
Create an outcome focused, high-performing hybrid team environment that applies an enterprise lens to all solutions
Build, mentor, and lead high-performing cross-functional delivery teams, fostering a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and delivery excellence across agile, hybrid, and waterfall delivery model
Proactively identify and manage risks, issues, and dependencies across the portfolio, implementing mitigation plans to minimize delivery disruption
Ensure delivery meets agreed quality standards, compliance requirements, and supports operational stability and scalability in production environments
Drive continuous improvement initiatives by leveraging delivery metrics, retrospectives, and emerging technologies
About You:
The Delivery Leader will provide strong leadership and consistently delivering cost effective, high quality business outcomes that align with EnergyAustralia’s strategic goals. To be successful in this role you will need some of the following experience:
10 years’ plus experience leading the delivery of Technology Change (including complex, transformational change) to achieve business objectives in both Waterfall and Agile environments in medium to large enterprises
Demonstrated experience in best practice project management across multiple methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid) including scope, time, cost, quality, people, communications, cost, risk, procurement, integration, and benefits management
Proven relationship management experience working with senior managers and staff, plus the ability to communicate effectively with technology, business unit and executive groups
Experience managing projects across R&D, Engineering, or Data Platforms with a proven track record of success in complex, dynamic and changing environments
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage technical complexities
Tertiary qualifications in Project, Business, Engineering or IT and accreditation from PMI (PMP) or AIPM (CPM or CPPD) or equivalent
Experience in the Energy Industry and Energy Market Operations is a plus
