Position Summary: We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Dental Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the dentist during procedures, providing excellent patient care, and ensuring the smooth operation of the clinic.
Key Responsibilities:
Clinical Support:
Assist the dentist during dental procedures, including examinations, fillings, extractions, and other treatments.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment.
Take and develop dental X-rays.
Ensure the patient is comfortable and provide them with clear instructions before, during, and after procedures.
Patient Care:
Greet and welcome patients to the clinic.
Take and record patient medical histories and vital signs.
Educate patients on oral hygiene practices and postoperative care.
Schedule and confirm patient appointments.
Administrative Duties:
Maintain accurate patient records and update electronic health records (EHR) as needed.
Manage inventory and order dental supplies.
Handle patient billing and insurance claims.
Infection Control and Safety:
Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Follow proper sterilization procedures for instruments and equipment.
Use personal protective equipment (PPE) and ensure patient safety.
Qualifications:
12th pass or equivalent.
Previous experience as a dental assistant preferred.
Strong communication skills and proficiency in English.
Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
Compassionate and patient-focused approach.
Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
