Job Summary
Join our dynamic dental team as a Dental Assistant and play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in friendly environment! As a key member of our dental practice, you will support dentists with chairside assistance, patient oral health education, management, and clinical procedures. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will help ensure smooth operations, promote patient comfort, and uphold the highest standards of infection control and safety. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to grow your skills in general dentistry, pediatric dentistry, prosthodontics, endodontics, oral surgery, implant surgery and cosmetics services.
Duties
Assist dentists during a variety of treatment procedures including restorative, endodontic, prosthodontic, and pediatric cases with precision and care
Prepare treatment rooms by sterilizing instruments, setting up dental materials, and ensuring all equipment is functioning properly using aseptic techniques
Take high-quality X-ray images and operate digital imaging systems such as 3D scanners while maintaining strict adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient privacy
Manage patient records efficiently using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) systems like Dentrix / Dentrix Ascend to document medical history, treatment plans, and medical coding accurately
Support office general operations by greeting patients , scheduling appointments, inventory etc.
Monitor vital signs and medical documentation to ensure patient safety before procedures
Maintain infection control protocols and ensure all clinical areas meet OSHA standards for cleanliness and safety
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar dental clinic setting with knowledge of dental terminology and anatomy
Proficiency with dental software such as , Dentrix/ Dentrix Ascend , or for managing medical records and documentation
Skilled in chairside assisting techniques including four-handed dentistry to enhance efficiency during procedures
Ability to operate X-ray machines safely and accurately; familiarity with medical imaging tools like 3D scanners is a plus
Strong understanding of infection control practices, aseptic techniques, and sterilization procedures
Knowledge of HIPAA regulations to protect patient confidentiality at all times
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients of all ages including pediatrics; experience in pediatric dentistry is preferred
Ability to work collaboratively within a team that includes dental receptionists, hygienists, and specialists in prosthodontics or endodontics
