About Our Client
Addison Group is partnering with a large facilities services organization that supports commercial and institutional properties across multiple industries. Our client provides operational and maintenance services that help ensure safe, clean, and well-managed environments for employees, residents, and visitors. They are seeking a Medical Leave Specialist to join their HR team on a contract basis to assist with leave administration and employee support.
Job Description
The Medical Leave Specialist will assist the HR Benefits team with coordinating employee leave programs and maintaining accurate documentation related to medical absences. This role involves responding to employee inquiries, managing leave records, and helping ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, comfortable working with confidential information, and able to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
• Respond to employee inquiries related to medical leave and benefits programs via phone and email
• Maintain and organize employee medical documentation in accordance with internal policies and regulatory guidelines
• Track employee leave cases and absences, ensuring accurate documentation and timely updates
• Provide guidance to employees regarding leave procedures, eligibility requirements, and return-to-work timelines
• Assist with administration of various leave programs, including family leave, disability leave, and other federally or state-regulated leave policies
• Coordinate with HR and management to ensure proper documentation and follow-up on leave cases
• Support reporting and recordkeeping for leave activity and benefits administration
• Assist with transitioning physical documentation into digital record systems
• Provide general administrative support to the HR Benefits team as needed
Qualifications
• Bilingual in Spanish required
• 3+ years of experience managing or processing employee leave claims in a corporate HR or benefits environment
• Experience with programs such as FMLA, Paid Family Leave, Workers’ Compensation, and ADA accommodations
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills and experience working with reporting or tracking systems
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Highly organized with strong attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under deadlines
• Bachelor’s degree preferred
