Job Description
Plan, establish and maintain account relationships by making regular sales calls/visits to existing/prospective customers to understand and identify their needs to create a long-term customer supplier relationship with the aim to close deals and finalize contracts
Handle progressively larger accounts as main sales contact and serve as secondary contact at large accounts to gain knowledge on these accounts
Utilize product application knowledge and provide technical recommendation to fulfill customer needs and to enhance achievements of sales targets
Consolidate data on customer needs, including product application, services requirements, buying cycles, delivery schedules and internal regulations like pricing structure for defined, customer credibility/ profiles to help secure/enhance business opportunities
Coordinate with customer services, logistics and inventory control to support the delivery of sales contracts. Update a database of customer creditability according to company credit policies
Trace the customers’ payment process to ensure timely payment of receivables to meet established sales targets and revenue goals
2. Sales Development
Drive profitable sales growth through development of new business opportunities at downstream customers
Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical development that affect target markets and recommend to Sales Lead modification/ changes of strategies/ practices
Establish and maintain strong network with key accounts and market participants and provide market information and market needs back to regional marketing and product management
Provide accurate sales forecasts, supporting efficient planning of the products
Continuously improve the commercial results of the product portfolio according to the strategies via product promotion/ introduction, proposals of marketing plans, analysis of and proposal of sales/ distribution channels, pricing proposals, analysis of market to support decision on future product development strategies, etc
Collect and initially analyze data for market research project to develop competitor grid and benchmarking on competitors’ positioning and the performance of their competitive products
