About the Role
As Metropolis Dermatology Medical Assistant, your role is to keep the clinic running smoothly by managing clinical and administrative tasks. Your core role is to room patients, collect patient health information, triage and respond to patient messages, ensure all rooms are properly prepared throughout the day, perform phlebotomy and lab testing, administer medications, prepare for and assist with procedures, and maintain medical supplies and equipment.
What You’ll Do
● Monitor schedule to organize and anticipate the day, communicate with providers
● Accompany patient to room and document all relevant health information
● Prepare patients for visit, through examination and treatment
● Maintain rooms with all necessary equipment, instruments and supplies
● Prepare supplies, equipment and medication for treatments, following proper protocols to maintain a safe and sterilization environment
● Provide timely and effective support to all providers
● Maintain all medical equipment per manufacturer requirements and clinic protocols
● Manage timely address of patient messages and needs, prescription refills, authorizations and lab results
● Ensure timely and accurate clinical documentation within the EHR
● Go above and beyond for patients whenever possible
