Duties and Responsibilities:
Drillers are responsible to safely operate specialized surface mechanical or electronic equipment, tools or instruments to provide services in conjunction with specific drilling projects. Some of the specific task will include but are not limited to the following:
Direct rig crew in setting up rigs, perform drilling operations, completing or servicing
Responsible for ensuring daily pre-shift inspections are completed for all the equipment under their direction
Ensure daily toolbox/safety meetings are conducted and documented
Operate controls of drilling rig and/or support equipment
Train workers under their direction in job duties, safety procedures and company policies
Document and record status of drilling operations
Assemble and attach equipment, tools or recorders to drill stem or wireline to conduct required procedures and tests
Qualifications and Requirements :
Underground Common Core is required
Valid First Aid Training
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Driller on underground core drill rigs
Flexible on rotation and location
