Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, particularly with diesel engines. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose issues, perform repairs, and ensure that all vehicles are operating efficiently and safely. The Diesel Mechanic will play a crucial role in maintaining our fleet and providing excellent service to our customers.
Responsibilities
Conduct routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines and related systems.
Diagnose mechanical issues using appropriate tools and techniques.
Perform electrical repairs and troubleshoot electrical systems in vehicles.
Assemble and disassemble parts as needed for repairs or replacements.
Maintain records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.
Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
Inspect vehicles for safety compliance and recommend necessary repairs or improvements.
Work with cranes and other heavy equipment as required for specific repair tasks.
Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure safety and efficiency.
Skills
Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques, particularly for diesel engines.
Proficiency in vehicle maintenance practices, including the ability to maintain shocks, struts, and other suspension components.
Experience as a service technician with hands-on experience in diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues.
Familiarity with electrical systems in vehicles, including troubleshooting electrical faults.
Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with clients about their vehicle needs.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail to ensure high-quality repairs.
