Diesel Mechanic Tier 1 & 2
Family owned non-commission shop starting at $25 per hour based on skill set and experience plus Bonus program We are expanding rapidly and building a new facility. We are looking for individuals to grow with us and stay long term. We offer competitive pay, employee insurance paid for, 401K and a full array of benefit options. This is a fast-paced shop. Our primary job is to facilitate the sales and rental side of Longview Truck Center while maintaining outside customer base. We have software for all popular makes of trucks, engines, and transmissions. Mechanics must expect to drop everything on a job and move to another as demand requires. Mechanics must also be willing and capable of learning and applying a wide variety of skills to tasks from rebuilding an engine, electronic and electrical diagnoses to scraping DOT tape and re-flooring trailers.

Requirements
5 years verifiable Class A diesel tractor/trailer experience.
Basic tools. (The shop will provide “Specialty Tools” as defined by the shop manager.)
Fundamental knowledge of Diesel engines and drive trains as pertains to Class A vehicles
Fundamental knowledge of air brake systems
Fundamental knowledge of electrical and electronic systems as pertains to Class A vehicles
Ability to operate and or learn to operate diagnostic software
Fundamental knowledge of modern after-treatment systems
Ability to read and fill out digital work requests.
Sought after but not Required
CDL
DOT inspector license
Comprehensive knowledge of DEF, DPF, and SCR systems
Comprehensive skills with Detroit, Cummins, Paccar, and Mack engines software and systems
Comprehensive knowledge of A/C system
Allison and Eaton Autoshift transmission experience
