Job Description
Provide support in acquisition and management of born digital collections.
Provide advice, training, and support on digital collecting policies and procedures.
Work closely with ATL (Alexander Turnbull Library) Curators, Collection Development, and Arrangement and Description teams, as well as the Digital Preservation Team
Build and manage effective relationships with other teams and support alignment of processes across directorates.
Support innovation in management of born digital collections, including the application of Matauranga Maori and the implementation of digital technologies.
Contribute to digital collection development and support the Senior Digital Archivist in providing advice and leadership in born digital collection development and sector-wide digital collection and preservation initiatives.
Support day-to-day systems management of the Library's unpublished collections management system.
To be successful in the role you will have:
A post graduate qualification in the field of librarianship, museum or archival studies, or demonstrated relevant experience
Experience with the management of born-digital collections and a confidence with technology
A high level of analytical and problem-solving skills
An ability to establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with your team and the wider business.
