Job Description
fast-growing, Ontario-based food business is looking for a creative and driven Digital Marketing Specialist Intern to help elevate our online presence across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and email.
Over 8 weeks, you’ll audit our current digital footprint, build a content calendar, and lead day-to-day execution using tools like Canva, ChatGPT, Zoho CRM, and Google Suite. You’ll shoot and edit photos and short-form videos, write engaging blog posts and newsletters, and launch targeted Meta ad campaigns. You’ll also test new ideas like local QR code promos and influencer outreach. These efforts will directly support key performance goals: increasing digital awareness, online orders, and traffic to retail partners.
The success of this internship is twofold:
Driving measurable growth in key KPIs
Creating systems, templates, and workflows the business can maintain post-internship
You’ll work closely with the founder and marketing lead, gaining hands-on experience in growing a modern food brand through smart, sustainable marketing.
You’re a Fit If You:
Are confident shooting/editing photos and videos for social media
Have experience writing blog posts, social captions, and email newsletters
Know your way around Meta Ads Manager, Zoho CRM, Canva, ChatGPT, and Google Docs/Sheets
Are organized, self-directed, and passionate about food, content, or community storytelling
Internship Details:
Duration: 8 weeks
Start: May/June (flexible)
Location: Hybrid – mostly remote with occasional in-person (Waterloo area)
Compensation: Yes. Canadian Summer Jobs Program (CSJ)
CSJ Requirements: Be between 15-30 years of age, at the start of the funded position. Be a Canadian Citizen, permanent resident, or someone to whom Refugee Status has been granted/conferred. Have a valid SIN and be legally entitled to work according to the relevant provincial or territorial legislation and regulations.
