Digital Marketing Manager

We are excited to offer the role of Digital Marketing Manager with responsibility for content development and technology platform management. This role works across marketing channels to reach donors, volunteers, clients, and community partners, with messages that support organizational, marketing, and communications goals. Reporting to the Director of Marketing and Communications, the ideal candidate will enjoy working in an environment of collaboration and teamwork, while also managing individual priorities, deliverables, and deadlines. Organized and digitally proficient, this individual will combine their creative, project management, and analytical skills to lead the development of compelling messaging and visuals in support of campaign and communication initiatives. The position is based in The Ark’s West Rogers Park office.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead content development and technology platform management of all Ark digital marketing and communication initiatives.
Set strategy and develop a content development plan across digital marketing channels including arkchicago.org, email/CRM, social media, digital advertising, SEO, and digital signage.
Implement plan and oversee the efficient production of copy, imagery, photography, and video to communicate The Ark brand, services, and campaign messages.
Contribute to and manage editorial calendar, working with leadership and colleagues to accomplish organizational and marketing goals.
Manage internal and external tools and agency relationships for fundraising and community outreach campaigns including message development, creative direction, testing, delivery, and measurement.
Support organizational priorities and new initiatives arising from The Ark’s strategic plan.
Provide copywriting and editing for projects to achieve high quality, compelling stories while maintaining The Ark brand standards and voice.
Ensure streamlined internal and external processes and achieve optimal, on-time launch with impactful messaging and minimal technical challenges for platforms.
Coordinate the development of a comprehensive dashboard and lead the monthly measurement of campaign and communications performance. Make and implement recommendations for optimized performance.
Qualifications and Skills:
Successful history in professional, hands-on role in digital marketing, content development, and communications with 5-7 years of related experience.
Bachelor’s degree in related field.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Organized with experience managing projects from kick-off to launch.
Collaborative workstyle with ability to work well independently and with a team.
Sound understanding of audience segmentation and measurement.
Proficient in WordPress, Hootsuite or similar, email marketing platforms (e.g., Right On Interactive, Constant Contact, Mailchimp, or similar), Google Analytics, Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and/or InDesign, Canva, ChatGPT or CoPilot, and Microsoft Office.
Proficient at digital visualization through Excel or advanced tool.
Knowledge and sensitivity to support and work within the cultural context of the Jewish community.

Salary & Comprehensive Benefits Overview:
Pay Range: $60,000-$75,000 annually.
Excellent comprehensive benefits package, with significant sponsorship by The Ark
