In India, the hearing aid industry at wholesale prices is approximately INR 700 crores annually. Private retail consumption accounts for over 85% of the hearing aid market in revenue terms with the balance coming from government tenders. The market is growing @10~12% p.a. and likely to grow at these rates for the next decade due to very favorable demographics viz.
· +0% of hearing aid users are in the 50+ age group.
· They are living longer due to healthier lifestyles
· Leading a more active retired life and would like to enjoy life with friends and family
· Have the money to fund hearing aids
In the hearing-impaired population, the hearing aid penetration level is only 2%. In developed countries the penetration is in the 20~40% levels.
In India, GN is headquartered in Navi Mumbai. In 2026, GN will post revenues of INR 140 cr (USD 17 mln). GN has been the fastest growing company since 2012 growing revenues @ 22% CAGR. GN is a clear No 2 now in the lucrative retail market with a 20% market share, up from 5% market share in 2011. GN is the most profitable company in the industry with the highest % EBITA margin. Leadership in technology, a clear India strategy and strong execution have been the drivers of this performance.
Given the strong momentum, GN has an opportunity to drive growth higher than the current already high rate. GN has put in place aggressive plans for the 2026~2026 strategy period. The strategy involves executing on multiple key sales initiatives in parallel with speed and accuracy.
GN operates through a direct dealer network of about 700 customers. The larger key customers account for a disproportionate share of the industry potential and consequently GN’s business. Hearing aids are dispensed as a medical device and the dealer (dispenser) makes the brand choice.
Among other things, fast, accurate and at times customized service solutions to these larger customers are important to succeed with them. The customized solutions tend to put a strain on operations increasing complexity. The relatively small size of the business is deceptive when compared to the complexity of the challenges involved. Key Responsibilities (but not limited to the mentioned below only):
1. Manage and execute campaigns across various digital channels, including email, social media, search engines, and display advertising that align with the organization's business monthly, quarterly & annual goals
2. Measure and report on the performance of digital marketing campaigns, and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs – CPM, CTR, CPC, CPL, CPA)
3. Research and analyze competitor advertising links
4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including creative, content, and web development, to produce engaging content and optimize user experience
5. Stay up-to-date with emerging digital marketing trends and technologies
6. Executing tests, collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends and insights in order to achieve maximum ROI in paid search campaigns
7. Managing campaign expenses, staying on budget, estimating monthly costs and reconciling discrepancies
8. Optimize copy and landing pages for paid search engine & /social media marketing campaigns
+. Perform ongoing paid keyword discovery, expansion and optimization
● Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
● Excellent Communication skills.
● Proficient with the use of Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Word, PPT).
● Previous experience with the social media management tools is a plus
