Infrastructure and Digital Assets (IDA) provide a range of services to support the delivery of Corrections' core business and ensure we can maintain consistent service delivery regardless of external events and crises.
The Digital Solutions team partner with the business to develop and support three integral products through both BAU and project work. We are currently looking for a passionate Digital Solutions Developer to join the team!
In this role you'll specialise in designing, developing, testing, and supporting innovative technology solutions for a variety of staff and business units within Corrections. You will contribute to the ongoing development, configuration, and stewardship of our core ServiceNow platform, and you'll help deliver scalable, sustainable value by enhancing ITSM and other enterprise modules, supporting a prioritised backlog, and improving the overall platform experience for staff across the motu.
This is a hands-on technical role suited to someone who enjoys problem-solving, modern product ways of working, and improving the stability and maturity of a significant enterprise platform.
What you'll do
Work closely with product owners, analysts, and partners across Ara Poutama to understand needs and guide stakeholders toward standard platform capability where it provides the best long-term value.
Configure, enhance, and support ServiceNow modules (with a focus on HRSD, ITSM and related enterprise capabilities), using out-of-the-box functionality wherever possible and following platform best practice.
Contribute to backlog refinement and delivery, balancing new feature development with platform stewardship and continuous improvement.
Own agreed stewardship responsibilities, including BAU tasks, configuration updates, incident investigation, and proactive platform care.
Support testers, ensuring changes are delivered safely, sustainably, and in line with Corrections' change processes.
Participate in release activities, assess platform upgrades, and help mitigate downstream impacts across integrations and dependent systems.
Maintain high-quality documentation and contribute to shared team knowledge, patterns, and standards.

In addition to a solid grasp of the enterprise IT landscape, we are looking for candidates with:
A robust knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC)
The ability to work in an agile team setting
Experience developing and supporting integrated applications
A strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform.
Utu a-tau | Salary
The midpoint of the salary range is $131,914 per annum and the full range (85%-120%) is $112,127 - $158,297 per annum. Appointment and remuneration will reflect skills and experience relevant to the role.
