About the Role
Handle the development of estimates during the design stage of a project, and the development of all the bid documents required to bid the various aspects of a project.
Coordinate the development of ongoing estimates and value engineering exercises as required during the design period.
Review and check all design team members invoices and recommend payment as appropriate.
Attend on site requisition meeting to review the value of construction work completed.
Review final construction requisitions and recommend payment as appropriate.
Manage the review of all requested change orders, evaluate, and make recommendations.
Negotiate as required to agree a true value for the change.
Coordinate the development of monthly cost reports for clients.
May telecommute.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Employer will accept a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or a related field and 5 years of post-baccalaureate progressive experience in the job offered or in a construction or cost management–related occupation.
In lieu of a Bachelor’s degree, employer will accept 2 years of work experience in job offered or in a construction or cost management-related occupation. Any suitable combination of education, training, or experience is acceptable.
