Demonstrate expertise in US export and import laws, including ITAR and EAR
Act as the liaison with the U.S

Oversee the company's Trade Compliance program:
Guidance and Interpretation: Provide legal guidance and interpretation of US trade requirements, statutes, and regulations
Agreement Review: Review Department of State agreements, including Technical Assistance Agreements, Manufacturing License Agreements, and Distribution Agreements
Classification Oversight: Oversee export classifications, country of origin determinations, and HTS classifications for components, goods, equipment, and services
License Review: Review export and import licenses and permits from the Departments of State and Commerce
Lead the continuous improvement and implementation of the trade compliance framework
Monitor regulatory developments and collaborate with other departments to ensure compliance with new laws and regulations
Provide trade compliance training
Perform internal compliance reviews and lead corrective actions
Conduct compliance assessments of license and agreement files
Manage 3+ individuals within the trade compliance team
FSO Responsibilities (30%):
Oversee FOCI Mitigation Program to ensure the day-to-day implementation and coordination of the Company's Foreign Ownership, Control, or Influence (FOCI) mitigation program to maintain Facility Clearance, including:
Maintain and revise FOCI mitigation documents to ensure accuracy and completeness
Conduct required security checks
Submit and manage FOCI mitigation agreements, revisions, approval requests, and related documents
Maintain security bulletin boards
Oversee clearance submissions and maintenance
Coordinate with the SSO on physical security matters
Act as the primary liaison with DCSA and IS Representatives
Provide legal advice during GSC and BOD meetings
Serve on the Company's Insider Threat Committee
Continuously improve policies, processes, and procedures for FOCI mitigation and compliance with security requirements
Deliver comprehensive training on the FOCI mitigation program
Conduct internal risk assessments, develop corrective action plans, and lead the closure of findings
Stay updated on US security rules and regulations, and lead efforts to implement tactical and strategic solutions
Manage and lead the Facility Security Officer team

Requirements:
• Juris Doctor (JD)
• Admission to atleast 1 state bar
• 5+ years of relevant experience
• Successful completion of the FSO Program or FSO certification preferred
• Active Secret or Top Secret clearance preferred
• Management experience preferred
• Government contractor experience a plus
