Details: We are looking for a fabulous Director, Media to join our team. You would join a team of specialists who love doing awesome media and creating a great team culture together.
We are seeking applications from government media professionals to deliver a broad range of projects in our directorate. This role will interest you if excel at coming up with new ideas to reach our audiences and delivering the best outcomes for our community.

We make it easier for Canberrans to access justice, and we help to keep our community safe.
Our work spans legislation, policy, human rights, consumer rights, gaming, emergency services, corrective services, and infrastructure projects.

We are responsible for communications, engagement, media and digital services across our directorate.

Eligibility/Other requirements:
Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or significant experience working professionally in the fields of media management or communications and engagement is highly desirable.
The ability to work flexibly with occasional weekend and after-hours work is required.
To be eligible for permanent or temporary employment within the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) you must be an Australian citizen, a permanent resident or hold a valid work visa.
If an officer no longer holds a visa that permits them to work in Australia, their employment with the ACT Public Service (ACTPS) will be terminated.
Notes: This is a temporary position is available for a period of six months from 13 April 2026 until 16 October 2026 with the possibility of extension up to 12 months. A Merit Pool will be established from this selection process and will be used to fill vacancies over the next 12 months. Selection may be based on application and referee reports only. This position is in a workplace designed for activity-based working (ABW). Under ABW arrangements, officers do not have a designated workstation/desk. Opportunities for flexible working options could include hybrid working, being a combination of working from home, designated office based and FlexiSpace working locations across the ACT, part-time hours, job-sharing, flexible start, and finish times.
