How You Will Make an Impact in This Role:
This position is a key part of the Enterprise Technology Services 2nd Line Compliance team, responsible for fostering a strong Compliance culture. You will enhance the control environment and proactively identify and escalate risks across various sectors, including Information Security, Enterprise Architecture, Platforms, Data and AI, and Digital Acquisition Platforms.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide expert regulatory risk advice to the Enterprise Technology Services business and stakeholders, offering constructive challenges where necessary.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive understanding of relevant laws and regulations, including those related to anti-money laundering, sanctions, data protection, privacy regulations, and consumer protection.
• Oversee the implementation of the enterprise Compliance risk management program to ensure alignment with business unit objectives and the institution's risk appetite.
• Monitor and assess Compliance risks while evaluating the effectiveness of controls and ensuring corrective actions are implemented when necessary.
• Evaluate Enterprise Technology Services' compliance with regulatory expectations, addressing deficiencies promptly and implementing actions to align with regulations.
• Prioritize and track compliance risk-related issues, ensuring timely resolution to mitigate risks and prevent recurrence.
• Promote a strong risk-aware culture across the organization, encouraging proactive risk management at all levels.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 2nd Line Compliance professionals.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Exceptional leadership and collaboration skills, with experience in a matrixed, agile environment and on cross-functional teams.
• Strong communication skills to effectively convey messages and prepare materials tailored for various audiences.
• Knowledge of consumer protection regulations and compliance management systems is preferred.
• Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Proven decision-making ability, with the capacity to work under pressure and adapt to change.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills, with the ability to inspire and coach team members.
• Experience in banking, compliance, legal, or risk management is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Law, Compliance, Business, or a related field is required; an advanced degree is preferred or equivalent experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience managing teams across multiple locations and markets.
• Familiarity with digital platforms and technical capabilities within Enterprise Technology Services.
• Experience in a 2nd Line Compliance role.
• Relevant professional certifications in regulatory compliance or risk (e.g., CAMS, CRCM, CRM, etc.).
Salary Range: $123,000.00 to $215,250.00 annually + bonus + equity (if applicable) + benefits
This range represents the expected salary for this position, with final pay determined by location, experience, and other factors.
