This role requires a combination of HR expertise, leadership skills, and business acumen to drive initiatives that align with the organization's goals and objectives. The Director of HR collaborates closely with executive leadership to develop and implement HR strategies that foster a positive work culture, attract and retain top talent, and ensure compliance with employment laws and regulations. At Pepper you would be responsible for: Strategic HR Planning: • Develop and execute HR strategies in alignment with the organization's overall business objectives. • Partner with senior management to identify and prioritize key HR initiatives that support the organization's growth and success. Talent Acquisition and Retention: • Lead recruitment efforts to attract and retain high-caliber talent. • Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to build a diverse candidate pool. • Oversee the selection process, including interviewing, assessment, and hiring decisions. • Implement retention strategies to reduce turnover and enhance employee engagement and satisfaction. Employee Relations and Engagement: • Foster a positive work environment that promotes employee morale, productivity, and teamwork. • Handle employee relations issues promptly and effectively, ensuring fair and consistent treatment. • Implement employee engagement initiatives, such as employee recognition programs, wellness initiatives, and professional development opportunities. Performance Management: • Develop and implement performance management processes and tools to assess employee performance and development needs. • Provide guidance and coaching to managers on performance feedback, goal setting, and career development. • Implement performance improvement plans when necessary and ensure adherence to performance standards. Compliance and Risk Management: • Ensure compliance with all relevant employment laws and regulations. • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures that reflect best practices and legal requirements. • Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and mitigate HR-related risks. HR Systems and Analytics: • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of HR information systems to streamline HR processes and ensure data accuracy. • Utilize HR analytics and metrics to track key performance indicators and inform decision-making. • Generate reports and insights to support data-driven HR strategies and initiatives. Leadership and Development: • Provide leadership and direction to the HR team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement. • Mentor and develop HR team members, providing opportunities for growth and advancement. • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior management on HR-related matters. You must have: • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field; Master's degree preferred. • 10 to 12 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 4 years in a leadership role. • Demonstrated expertise in all areas of HR, including talent acquisition, employee relations, performance management, and compliance. • Strong understanding of employment laws and regulations. • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills. • Strategic thinking and problem-solving abilities. • Proven ability to build and maintain effective working relationships at all levels of the organization. • SHRM or HRCI certification is a plus.
