The Advanced Facilities Group (AFG) at JE Dunn specializes in high-performance projects in Industrial & Manufacturing, Data Centers, and Semiconductor sectors. As a member of our team, you'll be at the forefront of the construction industry, engaging in innovative projects that matter.

Role Overview

The AFG Director of Safety will lead and direct safety and health initiatives while supporting national safety goals and strategies. This role involves implementing safety programs, providing reporting insights, and facilitating training activities, all aligned with JE Dunn's vision and values.

Key Responsibilities
• Drive and implement environmental, health, and safety initiatives and programs.
• Monitor and report on safety metrics, ensuring analytical insight is provided to stakeholders.
• Support Worker's Compensation claims and collaborate with Risk and Insurance teams.
• Offer analytical insights on safety and environmental issues to internal and external clients.
• Oversee the Drug and ******* program in line with corporate policies.
• Host safety meetings to foster communication and provide solutions on safety-related matters.
• Design safety training programs and lead the Regional safety team.
• Direct investigations of serious safety incidents within the Region.
• Work with safety professionals nationwide to assess trends and implement recommendations.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to support safety-related presentations and initiatives.
• Manage prequalification platforms and liaise with client solutions partners.
• Compose internal communications and publications.
• Promote a culture of diversity and inclusion in line with JE Dunn's policies.

Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in occupational safety/health, construction management, or a related field.
• 10+ years of experience in construction safety is required.
• Preferred experience includes 15+ years in safety leadership and 5+ years in people management.
• 2+ years of financial management experience is required.
• Experience in Mission Critical, Industrial/Manufacturing, or Advanced Industries is preferred.

Working Environment
• Valid driver's license is required.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
• Travel may be required.
• Willingness to work non-traditional hours as needed.
• Exposure to extreme conditions is possible.
• Comfortable with working at heights.
• Job locations may include project sites and office settings.
• Frequent activities include standing, walking, and climbing.
