Work Environment
This is an on-site position within a luxury hotel or resort property, where Five-Star AudioVisual operates as an embedded partner. Our close collaboration with hotel and event teams ensures a seamless experience for guests and clients. Team members represent both Five-Star AudioVisual and our hospitality partners with professionalism, expertise, and care.

Position Summary
The Director of Sales leads Five-Star AudioVisual’s sales efforts at an assigned property, serving as a strategic partner to clients and hotel teams. This role is responsible for driving revenue growth, cultivating strong relationships, and ensuring client satisfaction through expert planning and execution.
The Director of Sales will:
• Develop and execute strategies to achieve sales and profitability goals
• Build and maintain trusted partnerships with hotel and client stakeholders
• Oversee event sales and production processes to ensure flawless execution
• Lead, mentor, and support property-level sales and production teams
• Represent Five-Star’s standards of service excellence and hospitality

• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated success in identifying and pursuing new business opportunities through proactive research and client engagement.
• Skilled in active listening and understanding client needs, consistently following through to ensure satisfaction while achieving company goals.
• In-depth understanding of the local market, with the ability to handle objections and differentiate Five-Star’s value from competitors.
• Consultative sales approach—able to align client needs with the right audiovisual solutions and act as a trusted advisor.
• Committed to professional growth and supporting the ongoing development of team members.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills: clear, professional, and persuasive.
• Exhibits strong leadership qualities, providing guidance, feedback, and coaching to others.
• Self-motivated and goal-oriented, consistently pursuing results beyond expectations.
Experience & Education
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 4 years of sales experience, ideally within the audiovisual, technology, or hospitality industries.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service and building lasting client relationships.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and relationship management skills.
Technical Knowledge
• Audio: Microphones, speakers, sound systems, channel mixers, and related components.
• Video: LCD, LED, projectors, screens, and monitors.
• Lighting: Décor and stage lighting, traditional and intelligent fixtures, and basic lighting kits.
• Computers: Proficient in both PC and Mac environments with advanced software knowledge.
