Position Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic, responsible, and dog-loving individual to join our team as a Dog Daycare Attendant & Front Desk Receptionist. This hybrid role requires someone who can multitask between handling dogs in our play areas and providing top-notch customer service at the front desk.
Key ResponsibilitiesDog Daycare Attendant Duties:
Supervise and interact with dogs in group play settings, ensuring safety and positive behavior.
Monitor dogs for signs of stress, illness, or aggression and intervene as needed.
Clean and sanitize play areas, kennels, and facility equipment to maintain a safe and hygienic environment.
Assist with feeding and administering medications as instructed.
Engage dogs in enrichment activities and playtime.
Take dogs on walks, ensuring they get their exercise and mental stimulation in a safe, controlled environment.
Front Desk & Customer Service Duties:
Greet pet parents and assist with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries.
Answer phone calls and emails, providing information about services, pricing, and policies.
Schedule appointments for daycare, boarding, and grooming.
Process payments and maintain accurate client records.
Upsell services like grooming, extended daycare hours, and packages to customers based on needs and preferences.
Communicate with pet parents about their dog’s stay, behavior, and any concerns.
Qualifications & Skills:
Passion for working with dogs and ensuring their well-being.
Strong communication and customer service skills, with a background in sales or retail preferred.
Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
Comfort handling dogs of all breeds, sizes, and temperaments.
Previous experience in dog walking is a plus.
Previous experience in a pet care facility, vet clinic, or customer service role is a plus.
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and be on your feet for extended periods.
