Job Description
There is a requirement of experienced Drilling Engineer to support and carry out future drilling operations and lead major drilling engineering projects that require original or unusual analysis and solutions. As the successful candidate you will have experience with Drilling Workover rigs for all types of well construction (oil, gas, and exploration). You will have experience to develop cost analysis and prepare detailed drilling workover evaluations and programs. Prepare standard development practices and procedures to ensure maximum drilling efficiency consistent with safety, economics, and reservoir considerations.
Must have good knowledge of Well Construction and Drilling Operations complying to drilling standards and policies including HSE management.
Duties will include technical evaluation for procurement of equipment and services necessary for smooth running of operations and do time and cost estimates for drilling and completion operations.
Will also be responsible for well construction design that is technically fit for purpose and cost effective.
Will also be responsible for writing drilling and completion program and montages. Will be responsible for complying non-conformance, lessons learnt and end of well reports. Will also be responsible for setting communication of information relevant to drilling operations. Preparation of HSE notification and input as per DGMS requirement. Preparation of loadout lists and tracking tangibles and equipment.
Capability of doing required torque and drag model, design of casing, drill string and hydraulics. Cost tracking and cost forecasting. Ensured that all required contracts are in place and long lead equipment is available when required. Ensure that operations are carried out as planned and required change control are approved under a given protocol. Take note of equipment performance and inform management as per requirement.
