Roles and Responsibilities
• Assists the commercial delivery driver with loading and unloading items, contacting customers, collecting payments, keeping in touch with the Transportation office.
• Delivers of products using a handcart, ramp, and any other piece of equipment used in prompt, safe way that maintains the integrity of the product.
• Prepares and completes of the appropriate paperwork including but not exclusive of the reconciliation report, driver log (when applicable), pre-trip mileage sheet, product and return sheet.
• Learns and understands the appropriate invoicing and product return paperwork to accurately account for all products being delivered or returned.
• Records of mileage and delivery time daily.
• Maintains daily cleanliness of vehicle driven.
• Attends all Transportation departmental meetings that have been stated as mandatory.
• Presents a professional image to internal/external customers and vendors with appropriate dress according to the work situation while maintaining good grooming and hygiene.
Qualifications
• A High School diploma or GED.
• Must have the ability to lift product weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Required to climb in and out of a commercial vehicle.
• Must be able to walk, bend, lift, and operate a handcart up and/or downstairs.
• Previous food service experience a plus
Salary
• $17.00- $1+.00/ Hour
Shift
• Monday - Friday, Start Time is between 4am - 6am
• 10 - 12hr shifts
Physical Demands
• Must be able to stand, walk, stoop, bend, kneel, sit
• Must be able to use hands to handle and feel objects, perform fine finger movements, reach with hands and arms, and have the ability to see, talk, and hear.
• Must be able to regularly lift and carry up to 100 lbs on a regular basis
• Ability to work in a cold environment for extended periods with temperatures reaching -10
• Possess normal vision with or without correction and able to distinguish colors
• Possess fluent speech in English, writing and communication skills necessary to effectively carry out job functions
