PostgreSQL Developer
We are seeking a skilled PostgreSQL Developer to design and optimize database solutions, develop and maintain stored procedures, and ensure efficient performance.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop, test, and maintain PostgreSQL stored procedures and functions
• Optimize queries and indexing strategies to enhance database performance
• Monitor, analyze, and tune database performance, ensuring high availability and reliability
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to design and implement robust database architectures
• Perform routine database administration tasks including backups, recovery, and security measures
• Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner
• Adhere to best practices in database design and management
Requirements
• Proven experience in PostgreSQL database development
• Strong command over writing and optimizing stored procedures
• In-depth understanding of indexing, query optimization, and performance tuning
• Solid knowledge of database backup, recovery, and security protocols
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative team environment
• Familiarity with scripting languages and automation tools is advantageous
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment is preferred
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field
