Job Description
Full time permanent position with a chance of becoming a Team Lead position for the right candidate.
There may be a split shift for this position.
Some of the job responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Working on the floor with children aged 12 months-12 years old.
Have really good behaviour management skills.
Provide programming for the children based on their interests and development.
Follow all licensing, best practice and health/safety policies.
Communication effectively with parents and other staff.
Love going outside in all weather.
Asset if you have experience mentoring and leading a group of staff.
Following are the requirements of the position:
Early Childhood Education Level II (will consider ECE in training)
Daycare experience of Minimum 2 year is required
Experience working with children of all ages and abilities
Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
Strong behaviour management skills
Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills
Friendly and approachable demeanour
Maintain a professional appearance, attitude, and work ethic at all times
Must have valid Criminal Record checks, Child Abuse Checks, Commit to Kids certificate, First Aid/CPR valid certificate and ECE 2 certificate from Manitoba before start of position.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: From $27.56 per hour
Expected hours: 35 – 40 per week
