Progress Kindergarten is a well-respected, community managed service in Ascot Vale which has been operating for over 70 years. The educational team work in partnership with families and the committee of management to ensure an engaging and high quality program. In November 2025 the service was rating as Exceeding in all quality areas. Our small, passionate team value a collaborative approach and are committed to creating positive and inclusive learning environments. Educators work closely with families to ensure that each child's unique needs are met and that they are given the best possible start in their educational journey. Progress Kinder offers a positive and supportive work environment with a maximum of 28 children per group and options for extra relief work. - A part time position working in a 4 year-old kindergarten group commencing in Term 2 2026. - Session times are Wednesday and Friday 8.30am to 4pm. Planning time with the team is on Thursday and is currently above the award minimum. - Committed to creating a positive and inclusive classroom environment that aligns with the service philosophy and values, and the National Quality Framework - Work collaboratively with the team members to foster children’s development through purposeful, intentional teaching practices - Committed to continuous learning, critical reflection and ongoing quality improvement - Help to build high quality programs that foster the development of curiosity and a love of learning - Have strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build warm, positive relationships with children, families and team members - Bring patience, flexibility and passion for making a meaningful contribution - Have a sound knowledge of the Child Safe Standards
* Certificate 3 in Children's Services (or Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care) * Mandatory Reporting certificate * Current first aid training HLTAID012 - Provide an emergency first aid response in education and care setting
