Benefits
$75,000 - $85,000 per annum + superannuation.
Task & Responsibilities
Provide education and care for babies, toddlers, and children, fostering their learning and development in a safe and supportive environment.
Lead the preparation of materials and equipment to facilitate engaging educational and recreationalexperiences that promote play-based learning.
Develop and maintain positive, respectful relationships with children, ensuring their emotional, social, andcognitive growth.
Monitor and assist with children’s daily routines, guiding their behaviour and fostering positive interactions withpeers. Oversee children during routine activities, such as meal times, rest periods, and transitions, ensuring theirsafety and well-being at all times.
Observe, document, and assess children’s development, using insights to inform programming andindividualised learning approaches.
Ensure the health, safety, and hygiene of children at all times, maintaining a secure environment that promoteswell-being. Respond to incidents and emergencies, administering first aid when required and following healthand safety protocols.
Assist in the planning and delivery of activities that stimulate children’s development, including reading, playinggames, and engaging in other enriching experiences.
Support the inclusion of all children, fostering an environment where diversity is valued and every child is giventhe opportunity to thrive.
Collaborate with fellow educators, guiding and supporting them in providing appropriate care, supervision, andeducational experiences for children.
Participate in staff meetings and professional development to support continuous improvement in childcarepractices.
Qualification & Experience
Qualifications:
Minimum AQF Diploma in Children’s Education and Care or equivalent, as recognised by licensingauthorities.
Experience:
Minimum of 1 year of work experience as a room assistant in a childcare centre.
Other Requirements:
Child Protection Qualification
Current First Aid, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma Management Training
Clear Working with Children Check
Sound understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
Ability to work effectively within a team and engage positively with children and families
