Job Description
This is a unique opportunity to join our team at Family Central as an Early Childhood Mental Health Consultant for our Jump Start Program in Miami Dade.
The ideal candidate will be bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole with a Master's Degree in Mental Health or Early Childhood Education, and have experience working with children 0-5 years old.

Role Responsibilities
Consultation Services: Provide three levels of early childhood mental health consultation to early childhood education centers: Program Level, Classroom Level, and Child Level.
Center Partnerships: Develop and maintain positive working partnerships with staff and teachers in recruited early learning sites.
Assessment and Planning: Conduct assessments and develop consultation plans with sites.
Advocacy: Act as a client advocate at all times.
Social Emotional Skill Development: Provide continuous support to child care center staff regarding implementation of evidence-based strategies related to classroom management and social emotional skill development.
Referrals and Training: Make needed referrals for more intensive or additional services, as needed, and attend regular individual and group supervision sessions, required and recommended training.
Program Outcomes: Work closely with supervisor to achieve positive program outcomes, develop appropriate goals, and review to ensure quality and effectiveness of services.
Requirements
A Master's Degree in Mental Health, Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences, or Education.
A minimum of one year of experience working with children 0-5 years old and families providing mental health services.
Knowledge of infant mental health and/or early childhood required.
Demonstrated experience in working with early childhood settings.
Bilingual in English and Spanish or English and Creole.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Proficient in MS Office.
Able to work flexible hours.
Familiarity and comfort working with diverse populations.
Valid Florida Driver's License with full access to a reliable vehicle and insurance coverage.
