South Western Sydney Local Health District (SWSLHD) is seeking a dedicated Early Childhood Teacher to join our Early Childhood Education and Care service. In this role, you will deliver high‑quality, inclusive educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework, supporting children’s learning, wellbeing and development.
You will work collaboratively with educators, families and the wider community to create a safe, nurturing and culturally responsive environment that values each child’s individuality. You will also contribute to program planning and evaluation, support quality improvement initiatives and uphold best practice in child safety, health and education.
This role supports SWSLHD’s Transforming Your Experience strategy, empowering staff to deliver safe, high‑quality and personalised services for our communities.

A passionate Early Childhood professional who can plan, implement and evaluate high‑quality educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Framework.
Create a safe, inclusive and nurturing environment where children feel secure, respected and supported, while actively observing, documenting and assessing children’s learning and wellbeing to inform thoughtful programming.
Build a strong, collaborative relationships with children, families, educators and key stakeholders, and confidently mentors and supports colleagues to enhance practice.
Champion children’s autonomy, cultural identity and individual learning needs, ensure full compliance with legislation and quality standards, and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.
A commitment to child safety, health, hygiene and wellbeing is essential, along with the ability to engage with community resources and external professionals to enrich learning experiences.

Selection Criteria

Bachelor of Education Early Childhood or equivalent Masters in Education Early Childhood, Current First Aid Certificate, Managing Asthma in Early Childhood Certificate, Managing Anaphylaxis in Early Childhood Certificate, Child Protection Certificate
Describe your qualifications and experience in planning, implementing and evaluating educational programs aligned with the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
Describe a time you worked collaboratively within an early childhood education team to support children, families or colleagues.
