Role and Responsibilities:

As an Early Learning Assistant Teacher, you will help maintain a welcoming, engaging, and safe classroom for young children. You will work closely with lead teachers and center teams to deliver KinderCare’s curriculum, encourage individual learning goals, and build trusted relationships with families. In this role, you will spark curiosity, support social-emotional growth, and help inspire a lifelong love of learning.
• Support lead teachers in delivering KinderCare’s developmentally appropriate curriculum focused on creativity, exploration, and emotional growth.
• Supervise and interact with children to ensure safety and well-being while following all health and licensing standards.
• Build respectful, positive relationships with children and communicate professionally with families and staff.
• Encourage hands-on learning that promotes problem-solving, skill development, and discovery.
• Work with classroom teachers and leadership to maintain daily routines and contribute to a positive teamwork environment.
• Help prepare materials, organize learning spaces, and keep the classroom clean, engaging, and safe.
• Participate in training and professional development to support ongoing growth and career advancement.

Required Skills and Experience:
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Meets state requirements for early childhood teaching or is willing to complete required qualifications.
• Ability to work cooperatively with a team and take direction from classroom and center leaders.
• Passion for supporting young children and encouraging their development.
• Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills.
• Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and actively engage in indoor and outdoor play.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.
• CDA or early childhood education coursework preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working with infants, toddlers, or preschool-aged children.
• Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, or interest in earning certification with employer support.
• Familiarity with child development and developmentally appropriate teaching methods.
