Links Nurseries Ltd is a private limited company which runs a well respected group of three nurseries in Edinburgh, Musselburgh, and Aberdeenshire. We provide flexible high quality childcare and learning for children aged 0 to 5 years. Our employment package includes:

Our nursery in Edinburgh, City and Little City Nursery, is located in the leafy and quiet suburb of Greenbank EH10 near Morningside, Edinburgh. The nursery is set over two large spacious buildings, each with well resourced playrooms, dining areas, sleep rooms and sensory areas. Each building also has free flow access to attractive garden areas and large staff rooms with kitchen facilities. The nursery is served by local buses and ample on street parking is also available for staff travelling by car.
We are now looking for an enthusiastic, hard working, early years nursery practitioner or assistant to take on the role of lunch cover in our Little City building, which is for children aged under 3 years old. In this role your main responsibilities will be to set up for and help serve morning and afternoon snack, set up for and help serve lunch, and provide cover for staff breaks in our playrooms over the lunchtime period. Hours will be part time and negotiable, ideally 20 to 30 hours spread over five days a week Monday to Friday, and will cover the snack and lunch time periods
Candidates will preferably hold a childcare qualification or be prepared to work to gain a suitable qualification on the job. Nursery experience is also preferred, although candidates who have working experience with children in other settings such as afterschool clubs, school settings etc. will also be considered. Candidates should be able to build a rapport with children quickly, be flexible and work well as part of a team, and have good communication skills. We are also looking for candidates who are reliable, responsible, with a practical, pragmatic approach.
Candidates qualified to SVQ level 3/SCQF level 7 or equivalent in childcare are eligible to be paid £12.90 per hour, failing which the rate of pay is £12.21 per hour for age 21 and over, and £10 per hour for aged 18 to 20.
