We have a fantastic opportunity for an Early Years Nursery Teacher to join our friendly team! There is the opportunity to be part of the management team, depending on experience.
Shanklin Day Nursery is a small, family-owned nursery located in Stoneygate, close to Leicester City centre and all local bus routes. With a longstanding reputation for excellence, we’ve consistently achieved Good and Outstanding Ofsted ratings.
Full-time pay starts from £29,500.00, dependent on experience and qualifications, and to be discussed at interview.
Job Role:
Leading the Preschool room and a team of practitioners
Plan and develop rich learning opportunities and exceptional care, that helps all children to develop, and meets their individual needs.
Creating a safe, stimulating and nurturing learning environment
Supporting children to grow in confidence, independence, and school readiness
Working closely with families to ensure each child thrives
Assisting the Manager with planning, compliance, and quality assurance
Modelling best practice and mentoring colleagues to achieve excellence
Who We’re Looking For:
Qualifications: Level 6+ in Early Years / Childcare (e.g. Degree or equivalent)
Desirable: EYTS, EYPS or QTS highly desirable
Experience: Experience in a similar environment, either a Room Leader or perhaps as a Deputy Manager or Early Years Teacher looking to take your next career step
Skills: Strong Leadership and team management. Excellent commuication skills. Organised, proactive, and child-centered
