Job Summary and Qualifications
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the general supervision of the Coordinator of the Cardiovascular Laboratory, the Echo/Vascular Tech provides general echocardiographic services and is responsible for the provision of diagnostic vascular flow procedures to patients according to physicians' orders and established Departmental and Hospital standards of care.
III.EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
1.High School graduate. Completion of an accredited training program in vascular flow technology or ultrasonography through the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Professionals (CAAHEP).
2.Six months to one-year experience in echo/vascular sonography preferred.
3.Echo Certification (RCS or RDCS) or Certification in Vascular Ultrasound (RVT or RVS) required.
4.Current verification of competency in cardiopulmonary resuscitation.
