Job Description
At Ceres Organics, our purpose is to bring healing to the earth and humankind. We live and breathe organics and endeavour to work with nature to nourish people and nurture the earth. We do this by collaborating with our partners and connecting communities, land, and life.
As leaders in the organic food space, we bring passion, integrity, and innovation to everything we do - and we’re growing our digital foodprint to match in a way that stays true to who we are.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced, curious, and commercially minded Ecommerce Expert to drive and evolve our online growth strategy.
You’ll own our promotional planning, site performance, and customer journey across both consumer and trade platforms, while actively identifying new opportunities for growth. This role blends hands-on execution with strategic thinking and experimentation, supporting the Group Digital and Ecommerce Manager and working closely with marketing, product, operations, IT, and customer care.
This is a role for someone who enjoys getting into the detail, but is equally excited by shaping what comes next - using data, technology, and emerging tools to continuously improve the experience for our customers.
Key Responsibilities
Promotional Strategy & Execution:
Develop and manage the ecommerce promotional calendar across key campaigns, product launches, and seasonal opportunities to drive traffic and conversions.
Digital Channel Growth: Identify and pursue new growth opportunities across both direct ecommerce (ceres.co.nz) and our Trade Portals to increase visibility and sales, while supporting scalable growth through the smarter use of automation and evolving digital capabilities.
Site & UX Optimisation:
Own site performance, content, and conversion funnel across our consumer and trade websites. Constantly test and improve site functionality, speed, navigation, and UX across desktop and mobile.
Customer Experience & CRM:
Manage and optimise the customer journey, including email marketing, segmentation, flows, and lifecycle communications. Collaborate on loyalty and retention strategies.
Analytics & Reporting:
Track KPIs across traffic, engagement, conversions, and revenue. Use insights to drive continuous improvement in campaign performance and user experience.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
Work closely with marketing, operations, IT, our care team, along with external partners to ensure alignment across promotions, stock availability, and brand voice.
What We’re Looking For
Proven experience in ecommerce management or digital marketing in a consumer brand environment. Experience in B2B ecommerce as well will be an advantage.
Strong understanding of digital platforms, user experience, and performance marketing
Confident using Shopify, Klaviyo (or similar CRM), Google Analytics, and PowerBi tools
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent communication and project management skills
A grounded, practical approach - curious, adaptable, and not afraid to roll up your sleeves
A genuine interest in organic food, sustainability, and ethical business (without needing to be perfect)
Why Join Ceres Organics?
Be part of a purpose-led brand committed to doing good for people and planet
Hybrid working environment with a team that values well-being
The opportunity to shape and grow a meaningful digital ecosystem in a growing category
Great discounts on our awesome products
Free onsite parking
