Position : Education Coordinator
Location: Delhi
Organization Profile:
Since 1+88, Salaam Baalak Trust has been working for street and working children. We have 7 shelter homes, 10 contact points and 3 Childlines through which we reach out to 10,000 children every year. Through our programs, we provide education, food, medical, psychological and holistic development services to the children. Our vision is to provide a platform, a safe and secure space where every child can blossom to his/her full potential
Education Coordinators play a key role in making education programmes successful. They are responsible for driving the programme, and ensuring it is integrated into the wider practice of the centres.
The Education Coordinator plays a key leadership role in welcoming and supporting Teachers and meeting with Student and Mentor Teachers. The Education Coordinator’s role includes:
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
· Developing a creative learning community across the SBT
· To have knowledge, understanding and enthusiasm for creative teaching and learning as a key to raising achievement, aspiration and motivation
· To ensure that children play a meaningful and active role in learning that can truly reflect their interests, needs and enthusiasms
· Be available by phone or e-mail almost any hour of the day or night (only a slight exaggeration) to help solve any problems you may be having.
· Provide many materials (spontaneous books, videos, handbooks).
Qualification and Experience:
B.Ed degree/ Master’s degree
2+ years of experience in NGO as an Education Coordinator
Proficiency with a computer
Excellent problem-solving
Able to maintain confidentiality
· Good verbal and written communication skills in English and Hindi
