Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a passionate and experienced IB Chemistry/Maths/BM/Economics educator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be dedicated to inspiring students and fostering a deep understanding of chemistry within the IB curriculum framework. You will play a crucial role in preparing students for their IB assessments and helping them achieve their academic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver engaging and effective lessons in IB subjects, adhering to the IB Diploma Programme standards.
• Develop and implement lesson plans that meet the diverse needs of students while maintaining a high academic standard.
• Guide students through the IB Internal Assessment process, providing constructive feedback and support.
• Prepare students for their IB exams, including both Standard Level (SL) and Higher Level (HL).
• Utilize innovative teaching methods and technologies to enhance the learning experience.
• Monitor and assess student progress, providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Contribute to the development and improvement of the IB curriculum and instructional materials.
• Participate in departmental meetings, professional development sessions, and other school activities as required.
• Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student inquiry and critical thinking.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).IB teaching certification or experience in teaching IB is highly desirable.
• A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience, preferably in an IB school. Strong knowledge of the IB curriculum and assessment criteria.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate students to achieve their academic potential.Proficiency in using educational technology and digital tools to enhance learning.
• Commitment to continuous professional development and staying current with educational best practices.
