Working with a smaller Corporate Commonwealth entity, you will feel the impact of your role across the organisation and operate in a more commercial environment than larger Commonwealth Departments.
The Role
As Executive Officer your role is to maximise the productivity, efficiency and effectiveness of the General Manager (GM) in their leadership of the Project Delivery Branch and as a member of the agency’s Senior Leadership Team.
You will do this in a way that builds and strengthens relationships, through collaboration, respectful communication and excellent judgement.
You will establish and maintain key strategic internal and external stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively with the broader Executive Support Team.
Your specific responsibilities will include:
Provide strategic and governance support, analysis, guidance and advice including preparation and coordination of briefing materials, reports (Board reporting, CEO Reporting), submissions, management of critical tasks and projects for the GM, whilst ensuring the GM is briefed on topical/significant issues
Lead and/or contribute to projects to support the achievement of operational and strategic organisational objectives
Collaborate with relevant internal and external stakeholders assist the COO with delivery of priority work items
Prepare, manage and review briefing material and correspondence related to the Agencies broad project portfolio
Coordinate, research, analyse trends and hot issues to escalate and provide briefing material to the executive
Work closely with the Executive Assistant to identify and resolve issues that may impact the successful execution of Executive responsibilities
The Ideal Person
The successful candidate will need to be an experienced Executive Officer with experience working in busy and fast-paced environments under time pressures.
