The Role
Wood's Operations team in Canada is currently recruiting an Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls Engineering Student for the 2026 Summer semester, to join our St. John’s NL team, and support our large-scale brownfield projects. This individual will have excellent skills in time management, organization, and attention to detail. Typical responsibilities:
Ensuring project schedules and client approved budgets are managed and met
Liaison with third party contractors and vendors in the procurement of materials and equipment
Operate in a multidiscipline environment to complete large-scale projects for our clients
Provide Engineering support where required within the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls groups
Completion of “Bill of Materials” for the procurement of material and services
Population of engineering database deliverables for project Closeouts
Adhering to all HSEQ requirements within the Electrical, Instrumentation and Controls discipline in accordance with Wood procedures and management systems
Originating documentation including but not limited to design drawings, technical specifications, data sheets, supplier document register lists (SDRL’s), and reports

Expected:
Currently enrolled in a post-secondary Engineering Degree Program
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral in English
Ability to interact with Multidiscipline personnel in Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Subcontractors and Client representatives on project-related topics
Strong safety orientation and team focused attitude
Proficient computer skills to include MS Word, Excel, Outlook
