About the Role

We are looking for a skilled Electronic Instruments Trade Worker Special Class with a solid background in food manufacturing to join our team in West Footscray. In this key role, you will oversee and maintain electronic systems and machinery, ensuring operational efficiency and the highest product quality standards. You’ll be integral to supporting production, ensuring adherence to safety and food quality procedures, and driving continuous improvements across our operations.

Reporting to the CEO, you’ll manage the performance of production lines, ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met, and work closely with the broader team to implement process improvements.

Key Responsibilities

· Install, modify, maintain, and repair electronic instruments.

Setup, installation, and connection of electronic equipment and systems.
· Adjust, repair worn and defective parts, wiring, and maintain machinery, equipment, and instruments.

Regularly test and inspect mechanical systems, recommending improvements to reduce breakdowns and enhance efficiency.
Establish and maintain a preventative maintenance schedule, ensuring all systems and machinery are regularly serviced.
Work with colleagues and suppliers to swiftly address maintenance issues, machinery breakdowns, and scheduled services.
Replace faulty parts, recalibrate systems, and adjust settings to meet specifications.
Ensure compliance with safety standards, Test & Tag regulations, and overall system reliability.
Examine and test machines, equipment, instruments, and control systems to identify faults.
· Work with control systems that integrate electrical, electronic, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic components.

Requirements

Qualifications:
A-grade Electrical Workers License
Current trade qualification with solid experience in Fitting and Turning/Maintenance
Forklift License (preferred)
Experience:
FMCG or fast-paced manufacturing environment experience
Breakdown and planned maintenance experience
Experience in the repair, installation, and maintenance of manufacturing equipment
At least 4 years of experience in a similar role
Skills:
Strong knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and electronic systems
Excellent diagnostic, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage time effectively
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, drawings, and manuals
Strong customer service skills with attention to detail
Ability to work well both independently and in a team environment
