Job Description

Western Governors University (WGU) is looking for individuals to participate in a Couse Congruency Check project for our Elementary Fine Arts in higher Education course. Subject Matter Experts provide valuable real-world knowledge and experience to develop the courses we offer our students.

This is a part-time/project-based position, where you would work with WGU as an Independent Contractor. Must reside in the United States.

Qualifications:

· Doctorate in Education or Fine Arts preferred, master’s in Education or Fine Arts required

· Self-driven collaborator who can manage time and work both synchronously and asynchronously

· Relevant teaching license: active license preferred

· 3+ years current teaching experience in Elementary Fine Art

· 3+ years current teaching experience in a diverse community

· Experience teaching virtually

· Expertise in developing and evaluating curricula, including learning objectives, selecting content, and designing learning experiences that align with educational standards

· Strong communication skills

Scope of Work:
• Review the assessment and course content.
• Complete a survey or form to capture feedback/recommendations regarding alignment and congruency of the assessments and curriculum.
• All work will be self-paced, and no specific meeting will be required.

Tentative Dates: +/25/24-+/30/24

Compensation: $50 per hour; All work will be self-paced, and no specific meetings will be required. Meetings will be scheduled on an as-needed basis, or at the request of the SME.

General Description of Other Compensation and Benefits:

This is an independent contractor position that is not eligible for other compensation and benefits.
