Elementary School Teacher

Job Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Elementary School Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to fostering a positive learning environment and will be responsible for educating young minds in various subjects, including Math and English. This role requires effective communication, time management skills, and the ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of students, including those with disabilities.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that meet curriculum standards.
Follow B.C. Curriculum while adhering to Montessori pedagogy, support will be given from current staff with a team approach.
Create a supportive classroom environment that encourages student participation and fosters a love for learning.
Communicate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues regarding student progress and classroom activities.
Utilize computerized tools for lesson planning, grading, and student assessments.
Manage classroom behavior and maintain discipline while promoting respect and cooperation among students.
Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the educational experience for all students.
Qualifications

MUST have B.C. certificate. Montessori background is an asset. Training is available to the right candidate.
Experience working with children, particularly in an educational setting.
Strong knowledge of teaching methodologies for elementary education.
Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with students of varying abilities.
Proficiency in time management to balance multiple responsibilities effectively.
Familiarity with special education practices is a plus.
A genuine passion for educating young learners and helping them achieve their potential.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $76,000.00-$88,000.00 per year
