Elementary School Teacher
We seek a responsible, reliable elementary school teacher to join our Bay City Academy family. The position is required to teach elementary students (K-5) in all subjects.
Responsibilities:
Subscribes to the motto: "Action Over Words, Service Over Self"
Continuous ongoing learning and development of the instructional craft
Encourages, supports, and mentors ongoing learning in students
Establishing a learning environment accountable for effective instruction, assessment
Participates in professional development and maintains appropriate certification and qualifications
Creates a positive, engaging classroom environment that is conducive to learning and appropriately responds to the maturity level and interest of the students
Participates in district and school initiatives and adheres to building and district school improvement plans
Identifies and responds to the learning style of all students and differentiates instruction to accommodate these styles
Communicates regularly with students, parents, families, and the administration to advocate for student growth
Conducts behavior to demonstrate collegiality and professionalism at all times
Maintains regular, predictable attendance
Other duties as assigned by the building administrator
Requirements:
Must hold a minimum of a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
Background check/fingerprint scan
Valid driver's license
Prior teaching experience preferred but not required
Must hold a valid State of Michigan elementary teacher certificate or endorsement
10/10 attitude
Seeks positive impact with the kids
